Bugatti Type 35

Back in 2009 I was wandering around Paris, as was my wont on a Sunday afternoon, when I came across the parc fermé for the Bugatti 100 year anniversary rally on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
If I had known in advance of this meet I would have been suitably prepared, photographically speaking, instead I was carrying a Kiev 88, loaded with expired Berger 200 and fitted with an 80mm f/2.8 lens, not the best combination when the priceless vehicles were several yards behind a security barrier.
A bit of climbing, leaning precariously and holding the camera at arms length resulted in  a couple of usable images, this being one of them.

Today or course I would have been able to just whip out my phone as a backup, amazing what difference a few years make, even though this was relatively recent past the phone I carried was less up to the job than the Kiev.
